IT Security Training

All University of Colorado employees are required to take Information Security Training.  It is based on the key principle that information security is not just about technology, it’s about people (see: Information Security Training).

Since most of our employees handle some form of information that is sensitive and must be protected, all employees are required to take a new basic Information Privacy and Security online course.

Additionally, based on your position, you may be required to take a second training course for providers of IT services.  If your job involves IT work, you will be receiving a separate e-mail from Christine Dellacroce, UCCS’s IT security principal, about the IT Service Providers course.

  • The basic course should take about 90 minutes to complete.
  • Your grade for the course will be available on your CU Portal page under “My.Training” two days after successful completion of the course quiz.
  • Failure to complete the required training by the deadline will be reflected in your performance evaluation.

Thank you for doing your part to help keep our sensitive information secure.
