eduroam

On May 28, 2019, the Office of Information Technology rolled out a new wireless service called eduroam. This new service is now visible on devices that are Wi-Fi compatible. eduroam is the preferred encrypted wireless option for UCCS travelers, plus it is free, dependable, secure, and available at over 6100 locations worldwide!

eduroam (education roaming) has been a widely requested service and will allow Students, Faculty, Researchers, and Staff to connect to the internet, on other participating campuses and institutions, simply by opening their laptop or unlocking their device.

In order to use this service at other locations, we recommend you first connect your device to eduroam while on UCCS grounds, using your UCCS email account and password (example: jdoe@uccs.edu). For further instructions please visit our website and provide feedback here.

Soon, students will no longer have to wait hours, rather mere minutes until they see their registered courses within Canvas. During summer semester 2019, the Office of Information Technology plans to beta test a new "near real-time" enrollment system for student enrollments at UCCS. Rather than waiting up to 24 hours to see courses appear in Canvas, the wait should be six minutes or less. This change applies only to student enrollments in Summer 2019 courses and testing begins on Monday, June 3rd. Students who do not see a course that they enrolled in within 24 hours, should contact the OIT Help Desk immediately (719-255-3635 or help@uccs.edu).
