Don't forget to "spring forward" your analog clocks on Sunday, March 14th.
Service Catalog Transition
When considering a service that will be released to campus, a copy of the Service Catalog Template should be created, named appropriately and worked on over the course of the project. Once the form has been filled out to its entirety, notify Sarah for a review. The form, if done correctly, will contain all information that the Help Desk will need to support the service (testing done by the Help Desk is still mandatory before the service goes live).
Leave Sweep Flexibility not Extended for 2021
Every July, vacation and sick leave hours that exceed the maximum accrual limits for university and classified staff are swept from employees’ leave balances. Last year, due to COVID-19, the Board of Regents unanimously voted to allow for flexibility to allow University staff to temporarily carry up to 80 hours over the maximum.
This flexibility will not continue for this upcoming fiscal year. Thus, the normal maximum accrual limits as outlined on the Employee Services website will apply and any hours over the maximum accrual limits will be swept on July 1, 2021. Please work with your supervisor to plan your time off accordingly to avoid losing leave hours.
We wish the following team member the best in her future endeavor:

In an effort to make way for the transition of the upcoming Identity Management system, the IdM team will be deprecating some legacy AD attributes. On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, certain attributes (see below) will no longer be updated by the legacy code. If you experience any issues with these changes please notify Mark Hilberg, as he will take the lead on investigating the appropriate response (e.g., reverting the changes).

- Do you miss using your on-campus extension to make and take phone calls, while you are working remotely?
- Are you tired of handing out your cell phone number when you'd rather hand out your UCCS phone number?
- Do you have a UCCS extension (ex. 255-XXXX)?
If you answered yes to all of the above, then we may have a solution for you!
The Unified Communications team is excited to announce they are now testing softphones through Microsoft Teams! They are seeking 25 users, who utilize their campus extension, to help them test softphone capabilities through Microsoft Teams.
The 411:
- Your on-campus extension will be programmed to work through MS Teams. Once done, you can make and take calls without using your desk phone.
- What is required? For you to use the technology and to provide feedback - good, bad, issues, loves, all of it. And to not use Jabber or your physical desk phone, if you currently do so.
- Sorry, department, general or call center extensions are excluded at this time.
If you are interested in learning more or volunteering to be a softphone tester, join the Beta Testers Team and let us know through the conversation.
