Portal Test Drive Message

Beginning February 13, 2020, students will have the ability to test drive the upcoming student portal. Once logged into their current student portal, students will see the above button, which will take them to the new portal.

The new interface will provide dynamic content, allowing students to view their schedule, GPA, and finance information, but yet still have the ability to access all the links they previously saw in the classic portal.

A screenshot of the new and improved layout can be found below.

Feedback is encouraged and can be provided through the New Portal Feedback tile.

EPC 107 was used for many years as a teleconferencing room, but as teleconferencing began to be phased out and de-centralized, the room was converted into a classroom starting in 2016.  The room was previously used to support the Communications department classes until last fall when specific needs were identified on campus including: a location for the Air Force ROTC to host a class in conjunction with CU Boulder via teleconference, the Game Design and Development lab needing a larger meeting space, and a location for the eSport club to use gaming computers to practice and host scrimmages.

In a joint effort from multiple entities, including EAS, OIT, Communications, Media, Air Force ROTC, and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Administration and Finance, the room will be in use full time until May 2021 for the aforementioned groups.

The Transact OneCard project continues to make progress in its implementation efforts and at this point, all of the Point of Sale (POS) terminals have been upgraded. The team is actively working to complete the upgrade of the door access systems and is currently focused on wrapping up the resident halls before students return later this month. Once this is complete, the team will shift their focus to the remaining buildings. Transact will continue to provide end-user training over the next several weeks.

As we are gearing up for another successful semester, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few things.

  • The Help Desk is now open 24/7, with after-hours support available via phone and chat.
  • Microsoft Office is available through a free download from your UCCS account.
  • Updating and maintaining the campus directory is a manual process. Please create a ticket with the Help Desk to update any information.
  • Voicemail resets may be completed, by the owner, through an online dashboard.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) may appear on your account whenever you sign in from an unknown device. If you are unable to complete MFA because you no longer have access to that account or device contact the Help Desk.
  • The Application Review Board meets bi-weekly to review any hardware/software requests. This committee was designed to serve our campus by helping departments and individuals identify needs and/or develop software requests. Before you buy, email proapps@uccs.edu to see if there is already a solution in place!

Thank you!
