For the third consecutive year, OIT will be hosting their FREE e-recycle and e-shred event!
Faculty, staff, and all departments are encouraged to drop off their e-waste to OIT for their free e-recycle and e-shred event. Over the last two years, the campus has recycled an estimated 5,061 pounds of e-waste and shredded over 50 hard drives through this event!
Historically, OIT has hosted this event in-person. This year, due to social distancing protocols, OIT will be collecting materials over the course of four days. Blue Star will be collecting the items from OIT Security and properly disposing of them once the collection days are over.
Faculty and staff can drop off their recyclables at the OIT Security Office (EPC 101) on the following four days from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, October 15 | Tuesday, October 20
Wednesday, October 21 | Monday, October 26
So, bring down that tablet with the cracked screen, grab that monitor that is too grainy to see anything, share this event with your coworkers, and don't forget to Protect the Pride by masking up!
A pdf version of the Office E-Recycle Bingo card can be found here. Sorry no prizes for completing the bingo card, but please give yourself a pat on the back for being sustainable!
Virtually join OIT Senior Level Management and staff every-other-month for a presentation on a unique topic. Each session will review the topic, provide answers to the most common questions, and leave time for you to ask any IT question you want. Team members can ask their questions ahead of time and follow up with us after each presentation. Sessions will be recorded and available to those who are members of the Bytes Team.
